Queensland Health funded the design and implementation of an Energy Reduction Project for the new Hervey Bay Hospital were annual energy costs were projected to be US$1.5M.
Goals & Objectives
The primary objective was to develop and implement an Energy Reduction Project for the Hervey Bay Hospital with a target electricity and carbon reduction goal of 35%. The Energy and Carbon Reduction Plan utilized an Energy Model of the “As Is” and “To Be” condition and address Quick Win (Capital <$50,000), Short Term (less than 2 year paybacks) and Longer Term (2 year longer paybacks) energy saving interventions.
